Deployment Management: Configure deployment servers and manage application repositories for efficient software distribution. Data Ingestion: Create data inputs for security applications using various integration methods (FTP, DB Connect, UF, Http Event Collector). Alert Management: Develop and schedule alerts using cron expressions to proactively identify and respond to security incidents. Documentation: Prepare inventory, assessment, and Splunk AIG documents to maintain accurate system records. Agent Deployment: Install HIDS and DAM agents in production environments to enhance security monitoring. Incident Management: Participate in incident response activities and handle change requests related to the application. Application Integration: Collaborate with application owners to collect required data points for security analysis (Login/Logout, Audit/History, ID Management, Profile Management). Requirements: Splunk Expertise: Strong understanding of Splunk architecture, administration, and components. SPL Proficiency: Hands-on experience writing Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) queries for data analysis and visualization. Knowledge Objects: In-depth knowledge of Splunk knowledge objects (Saved Searches, tags, event types, Macros, Lookups) for efficient data management. Deployment Experience: Experience with Splunk Enterprise Deployments and continuous integration practices. Data Management: Strong understanding of data parsing, indexing, searching concepts (Hot, Warm, Cold, Frozen bucketing). UNIX Proficiency: Experience with UNIX operating systems and shell scripting for automation and data manipulation.
