This project will run for six months approximately. Position Overview: As a SharePoint Developer, the selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and migration of the Citys Intranet to the modern SharePoint platform; the base architecture and elements of the solution have already been determined. The bulk of the anticipated work will be the migration of content from the current solution to the new SharePoint site. They will collaborate closely with an established team of technical staff and business stakeholders who understand requirements and can provide guidance to deliver a tailored SharePoint solution that meets organizational needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and customize SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, web parts, workflows, and solutions based on business requirements or provided direction. Migrate content from the existing City Intranet to a modern SharePoint City Intranet solution. Ensure SharePoint solution is scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices. Provide support and troubleshooting for SharePoint issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SharePoint with other enterprise applications Qualifications: Graduation with a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus two (2) years of work experience. Experience may substitute for education for up to (4) years. Solid understanding of modern SharePoint fundamentals Basic knowledge of modern SharePoint development tools and technologies. Ability to analyze and translate business needs into technical requirements. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SharePoint migrations and upgrades.
