Role: Data Engineer Lead Location: Morristown NJ - Onsite Contract Job Description: The Data Engineering Lead will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data Continuous Improvement: - Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data engineering. - Promote innovation and best practices within the team. - Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements. Qualifications: Education: - Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: - 5+ years of experience in data engineering. - Proven experience with Talend and Snowflake. - Strong experience with API integration. infrastructure. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a strong background in Talend and Snowflake, with significant experience in API integration. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Strategy: - Lead and mentor a team of data engineers. - Develop and implement data engineering strategies in alignment with business goals. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Data Infrastructure Management: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Talend. - Manage and optimize data warehousing solutions on Snowflake. - Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all platforms. API Integration: - Develop and manage API integrations to facilitate data exchange between systems. - Ensure seamless integration of external and internal data sources. Project Management: - Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of data engineering projects. - Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholders. - Ensure adherence to best practices and standards in data engineering. Technical Expertise: - Utilize advanced knowledge of Talend for ETL processes. - Leverage Snowflake capabilities for data warehousing and analytics. - Implement API integrations to streamline data flow. Technical Skills: - Proficiency in SQL and other database technologies. - Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing. - Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Java. Certifications: - Talend certification is required. - Snowflake certification is a plus.
