Below is a detailed job description for this role: Job Description: DWDM Inferion Engineer Responsibilities: Design and Planning: Develop and design DWDM network architecture to support high-capacity data transmission. Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning for deployment and upgrades. Evaluate and select appropriate DWDM equipment and technologies. Implementation and Configuration: Install, configure, and test DWDM equipment such as optical amplifiers, transponders, and multiplexers. Integrate DWDM systems with existing network infrastructure. Ensure proper configuration of DWDM channels and wavelength assignments. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Monitor DWDM network performance and identify potential issues. Conduct regular maintenance to ensure network reliability and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve DWDM-related problems, including signal degradation and equipment failures. Optimization and Upgrades: Optimize DWDM network for maximum efficiency and performance. Plan and execute network upgrades to accommodate increased data traffic and new technologies. Implement advanced features such as reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexers (ROADMs). Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of DWDM network configurations, designs, and changes. Generate reports on network performance, capacity utilization, and incident resolution. Provide technical support and guidance to other teams and stakeholders.
