Job Title : Data Migration Testing Location : Woodville, TX Job Description A Data Migration Test Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and executing test cases to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data during migration processes. This role involves collaborating with data analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful data migration projects. Key Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases based on data migration requirements. Design and execute test scripts using appropriate testing tools and methodologies. Perform data validation and comparison to verify data accuracy and consistency. Identify and document data quality issues and work with data analysts to resolve them. Collaborate with development and business teams to understand data mapping and transformation rules. Perform data profiling and analysis to assess data quality and identify potential migration issues. Develop and execute test automation scripts to improve testing efficiency. Participate in data migration testing phases, including unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing. Provide detailed test reports and metrics to project stakeholders. Participate in post-migration data validation and verification activities. Required Skills: Strong understanding of data migration concepts and methodologies. Experience with data validation and comparison tools. Proficiency in SQL and data querying languages. Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes. Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify discrepancies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestComplete, etc.) is preferred. Knowledge of data quality assessment tools and methodologies is a plus.
