Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced L3 Firewall Migration Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will own the firewall migration process from Fortinet to Cisco Firepower, ensuring seamless transition and optimal network security. The role involves firewall rules conversion, analysis, coordination with L2 engineers, and execution of cutover plans. The candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in network security and firewall administration. (Contract) Role: - Network Security Architect Location: Raleigh, NC, Carey, NC Client is TCS Technical/Functi006Fnal Skills Minimum Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in network firewall administration, particularly with Cisco Firepower, Fortinet firewall, Palo Alto, and Checkpoint firewalls. Proven experience in firewall migration from Fortinet to Cisco Firepower. Deep understanding of network perimeter controls. Experience with Kerberos, SSH, SSL, IPsec, and public key infrastructure. Ability to develop network diagrams, migration plans, and test plans. Demonstrable understanding of system security, cryptography, and authentication/authorization/audit systems. Experience in network denial of service defense/avoidance/protection. Expert knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, operating systems, databases, and network technologies. Knowledge of regulatory requirements for IT security. Strong communication skills to interact with customers and present solutions effectively. CCNP certification and other relevant network security certifications. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with firewall management tools like FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Tuffin, and Cisco FMC. Understanding and experience with dynamic routing protocols (EIGRP/OSPF/BGP). Experience in VPN configuration and migration from Fortinet to Cisco Firepower. Clear understanding and troubleshooting skills in LAN/WAN/Data center network infrastructure. Experience working with different vendors like Cisco, Fortinet, and handling RMA processes. Firewall hardening experience to mitigate vulnerabilities. Incident, change, problem request, and service request management skills. Strong technical documentation and information security awareness. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, with strong collaboration and quick learning skills.
