MUST Have experience with "Java 17", NOT NEGOTIABLE MUST Have recent experience supporting Azure MUST Have a degree MUST Have a minimum of 7 years experience PREFERRED Sr. Team Or Leadership Experience MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THE MAJORITY OF THE FOLLOWING TECHNOLOGIES: Java 17, Spring Boot 2-3, REST and SOAP APIs, Kafka connectors and Kafka Streams, GitHub Actions, Terraform, RabbitMQ, DynamoDB, Openshift, Azure AD, HashiCorp Vault, and JSON, Yaml, GraphQL is a plus, Datadog, ELK, or Swarmia. Atlassian products, including Jira and Confluence. Position Summary : Implementing Solutions Member of team that can work independently, as well as collaboratively with team, in developing core software for the product that delivers outcomes. Consistent and dependable in delivering core software that delivers outcomes and meets/exceeds the teams expectations for stability, scalability, resilience, etc. Member can independently handle all phases of the API development lifecycle, from design to deployment. Collaborating within the Team Participate in teams collaboration sessions to provide technical expertise to solve a problem/remove technical roadblocks for the team Participate in product planning and implementation. Helps team to understand and decompose work Participate and engage in Sprint Refinements, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Retrospectives and Sprint Demos Provides clear updates on work items and reasons for delivery issues. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical design, and development documentation. Ensure code changes work seamlessly across all environments, with a proactive approach to testing beyond QA. DevOps Continuously assessing technology to build more stable, scalable, and resilient software; Use data to measure progress Promote and expand on the use of the CI/CD pipeline to improve the deployment and build process. Participates in the team support rotation and provides expert knowledge on focus subsystems. Coaching Engineers Mentor and train new or less experienced team members, sharing knowledge and expertise, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Provide domain expertise on software products to help them new or less experienced team members learn/grow their skills and contribute as part of the team Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics or other technical field or equivalent work experience Required Work Experience / Skills * 7+ years of experience in engineering environments, taking abstract concepts and ideas and formulating a detailed software engineering plan to deliver * Sound knowledge of industry standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices * Sound knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures * Sound knowledge of systems design concepts that provide security and stability * Expertise in debugging code and/or complex log files for troubleshooting and analysis of product defects * Expert knowledge/experience with querying databases for complex data lookup/update * Perform code reviews with team members within or outside the team. Technical Skills: * Deep knowledge of Java 17, Spring Boot 2-3, REST and SOAP APIs, Kafka connectors and Kafka Streams, GitHub Actions, Terraform, RabbitMQ, DynamoDB, Openshift, Azure AD, HashiCorp Vault, and JSON, Yaml. * Architectural Knowledge: Expertise in event-driven architecture, pub/sub models, and microservices. Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus. * Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog, ELK, or Swarmia. * Software Tools: Experience with Atlassian products, including Jira and Confluence.
