Demonstrated skills and knowledge securing cloud and container resources in GCP, such as Compute, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), BigQuery, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), VPC, Logging, Monitoring, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Database services such as Cloud Spanner. Previous exposure to hybrid cloud and multi-cloud, including combining on-premise capabilities with Cloud capabilities. In-depth knowledge of the security and compliance capabilities of the GCP, and AWS cloud platforms. Deep understanding of network security in the cloud including cross-cloud communication. Experience configuring IAM for least privilege and using Workforce Identity Federation in GCP. Experience performing security architecture reviews and threat modeling experience using frameworks such as STRIDE. Software engineering experience with the ability to write Python scripts. Knowledge of industry-standard security frameworks and benchmarks. Experience defining, building, and managing cloud resources with Terraform. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to engage with teams and recommend secure designs for a fast-paced environment. Broad awareness of security engineering concepts and practices across all phases of the software development lifecycle. Deep technical knowledge of cyber security risks, threats, and defenses to effectively assess security implications and requirements. Ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences and properly translate security and risk management terminology into business terms for these stakeholders. Experience writing queries and working with alerts/ vulnerability data. Detailed Job Description: Perform security reviews for GCP and multi-cloud architectures, and identify security risks such as data leakage, data encryption, and unauthorized access. Design controls to mitigate the risks. Advise customers on security best practices in the design and implementation of secure systems. Provide technical design and architecture advice to customer teams from a security perspective. Develop and maintain python scripts to detect violations to security baselines. Develop high-quality technical content such as security automation tools, reference security architectures, and guidelines to help engineering teams. Assist with tracking automatically generated security tickets for GCP security violations. Respond to project owner questions related to the security tickets. Monitor slack channels and provide direction for GCP related inquiries. Collaborate with other Paranoids teams on cross-team security initiatives.
