The ideal candidate will have a strong background in desktop support, operating systems, and network troubleshooting. This role requires a hands-on approach and excellent customer service skills.Responsibilities Provide technical support for lab computers and equipment. Manage the transition of IT services from an external supplier. Troubleshoot and resolve desktop and operating system issues. Deliver exceptional customer service to end-users. Maintain proficiency in Microsoft OS, including Windows XP, Windows 7, and Windows 10. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of IT hardware and software. Effectively troubleshoot network-related problems. Proficiently utilize SCCM for patching, Active Directory management, and antivirus solutions. Master image creation and deployment processes for Windows 10. Participate in or lead OS migration projects. Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrate a strong customer-service orientation. Adhere to ITIL processes and utilize ServiceNow.Qualifications Proven experience in desktop support, operating systems, and network troubleshooting. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft OS (Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 10) and MS Office Suite. Strong understanding of IT hardware and software. Experience with SCCM, Active Directory, and antivirus tools. Proficiency in image creation and deployment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills. Understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow.Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Linux. Experience with Windows 10 deployment. Participation in or leadership of OS migration projects.
