Hello Job Title: Network Engineer IV Job Location: Seattle, WA 98101 (Hybrid- 3 Day's onsite) Job Duration: 11 Months (Contract to hire) No H1b Job Description: Should have a minimum of 7+ years industry experience. Excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols. In-depth knowledge of and experience with major internet routing protocols; specifically BGP and OSPF In-depth knowledge of and experience with major router platforms; specifically with Cisco 37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, 76xx platforms including all compatible supervisory and line cards for these platforms. Excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills. Candidates should also have had significant past experience with, and expertise in many of the following protocols & technologies: IPv4 & IPv6, TCP (internals & flow control), BGP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, TACACS, IPSEC & VPNs, NetFlow, DNS, HTTP. Automation: Python or similar Team culture: Fast paced environment Collaborates with other team Role interesting: Professional growth Working on the largest scale network infrastructure Working with latest technologies Supporting requirements on government level Required Skills: Routing protocols Python (writing code) Good level of fundamentals BGP and OSPF (is a must both or either one having experience) Years of Experience: 7+ years Degree or Certification: Bachelors in networking/technology Certifications: CCNP Top 3 must-have hard skills: Ability to work under pressure and hit deadlines Certain level of learn and be curious of technology Staying focused on overall details --- Hiring manager Meeting Notes: Why open: Increase workload What are they going to accomplish on a high level This project is mostly execution and pairing with snr NDEs Execution phrases of deployments more specifically in expand deployments Scaling expand between 2 sites- need them to be strong in troubleshooting DWDM level, router portion of it Help troubleshoot the links and turn the expand up - main tasks Onboarding new builds on their backend system Team is working on some scaling within AWS border network Day to day: Mostly related to turn ups and scaling, deployments etc Must-haves: Networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, TCP/ IP) routing and switching side heavily focused Some Automation they need to interface w/ systems and tools but at the user level but not develop Troubleshooting links over DWDM not expecting to configure or deploying. Basic connectivity issues and be able to log into a route or a switch to find out what is going wrong and can suggest and tell BGP fails what is the problem How do we troubleshoot What are next steps of bgp why its failing Or Tcp sessions Is it a router reconfig problem or interface physical problem be able to identify the problem/ issue whether its a physical layer problem or a network layer problem based on the troubleshooting they can do it and to inform the team to take next steps. If it is a physical problem, toc if it is a logical problem ask ES to find these configuration problems etc Linux/Unix need basic linux command experience so they can work on core changes and work on deployment to scale. Linux hands on CLS experience. For example, how do you create a directory, how do you create file systems, how do you search and git repository. Heavily use Linux and Git to raise core changes. Open to any juniper or cisco Ex amazonian candidates is plus Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience; not looking for junior candidates.
