**JOB TITLE: QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA) TESTER**

Location: Fort Worth, TX and it is 100% on site.

Duration: 6+ months

Rate:
$45/hr. On C2C All Inclusive

**OVERVIEW:**

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of our QA Lead to enhance the quality of our software. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing manual and automated tests, troubleshooting software issues, and supporting various Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) activities.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

- Design and execute comprehensive manual and automated test cases.

- Troubleshoot software anomalies and analyze logs for error identification.

- Perform limited software configuration management url activities, such as creating and deploying software builds.

- Monitor and maintain lab infrastructure, providing limited support for lab and production environments.

- Document QA processes and contribute to continuous improvement in QA practices.

- Conduct manual testing at the user interface level, collaborating to gather requirements and design relevant test cases.

- Engage with stakeholders to plan testing activities effectively, utilizing user stories and other information sources.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

**Must-Haves:**

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, including the development and execution of test plans and test cases.

- At least 3 years of experience in writing manual test cases for desktop applications and websites.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.

- Strong troubleshooting skills, with experience in analyzing logs for error and message flow diagnostics.

- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with a medium documentation culture and high productivity.

- Experience in reviewing existing and new test cases, as well as familiarity with the software defect management lifecycle.

- Demonstrated capability in recommending and implementing QA process improvements.

- Self-starter mentality with a proactive approach to planning and executing tests with minimal supervision.

- Excellent organizational, communication, technical writing, and time management skills.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**

- Experience with configuration management practices (e.g., trunk/main, branches).

- Proficiency in SQL, specifically MS-SQL.

- Familiarity with SharePoint.

- Knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO).

- Experience with Linux (embedded systems).

- Background in the railroad industry.

- Experience with UFT automation.

**EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:**

Candidates preferably hold a Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. However, individuals with substantial professional technical experience, but without a formal degree, may also be considered.
