Role: Cloud Solution Architect Location: Remote Length: Contract Job Description This role is for a Senior Cloud Solution Architect with specialization in Azure, best practices, networking, applications, and data. The ideal candidate will lead the design and implementation of innovative cloud solutions, mentor team members, and represent the team in strategic initiatives and governance councils. 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture and solution design, with a strong focus on Azure. Expertise in Azure services and solutions, including networking, compute, storage, and data services. Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates. Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices. Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, GitHub). Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior team members. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud solutions. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices. Knowledge of additional cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud). Key Responsibilities Solution Design: Architect and implement Azure-based solutions following industry best practices, focusing on networking, applications, and data. Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development. Governance and Strategy: Present and advocate for cloud solutions to the Cloud Governance Council, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Project Representation: Act as the primary representative for the team in various projects, ensuring successful delivery and adherence to best practices. Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Security: Ensure cloud solutions adhere to security best practices and organizational policies. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all designed solutions and implemented architectures.
