Ensure precise alignment of hardware with power, cooling, and network infrastructure requirements. Hardware Configuration: Configure and reconfigure hardware setups according to detailed specifications provided by R&D teams. Verify correct assembly and integration of hardware components. Maintain up-to-date BIOS, firmware, and driver levels for all hardware. Testing and Validation: Conduct comprehensive testing of hardware configurations to assess functionality, performance, and compatibility. Perform routine hardware diagnostics, identifying and replacing faulty components. Collaborate with engineering teams to execute tests requiring physical hardware interaction (e.g., drive removal/installation). Troubleshooting and Debugging: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues through systematic troubleshooting techniques. Debug hardware failures and connectivity problems. Partner with R&D teams to identify and address root causes of hardware-related issues. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of hardware configurations, including diagrams, setup instructions, and test results. Generate comprehensive reports on testing outcomes and encountered issues. VMware Integration Support: Configure switches, debug storage and connectivity issues. Perform hardware swapping (e.g., PCI cards) and firmware upgrades. Manage infrastructure and service outages/installation failures. Handle rack, stack, and cabling related tasks. Provide support for ESXi environments within the datacenter. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in hardware installation, configuration, and testing. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. In-depth knowledge of hardware components (servers, storage, networking). Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware-related issues. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent documentation and reporting skills. Attention to detail and accuracy.
