Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes. Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services. Expertise in offline storage, threading, and performance tuning. Familiarity with the Android TV platform and its specific requirements. Understanding of Googles Android design principles and interface guidelines. Experience with cloud message APIs and push notifications. Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Experience: 10+ years of experience in Android development, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role. Proven experience in developing applications for both Android mobile devices and smart TVs. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of Android developers, providing guidance, code reviews, and fostering a collaborative environment. Architecture & Design: Architect and design robust, scalable, and high-performance Android applications for both mobile and TV platforms. Project Management: Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Cross-Platform Development: Ensure seamless integration and consistent user experiences across mobile and TV platforms. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and specifications. Innovation: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in Android development and incorporate them into projects. Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues, ensuring the smooth functioning of applications.
