Proven ability to design integration solutions using MuleSoft and ETL technologies. Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies. Technical Lead and Solutions Architect Consultant with a client in Oakland, CA (Hybrid onsite) to join their team. $80/hr ctc USC/GC ABOUT THE ROLE: Technical Lead and Solutions Architect Consultant position to support the implementation of the Intellectual Property Management Solution (IPMS). Attached is the job description. IPMS implementation program will be replacing its current Patent Tracking System with Wellspring. The new system will allow UC to manage multiple aspects of intellectual property assets, including invention disclosures, patent portfolios, trade secrets, trademarks, and copyrights, as well as the operational legal activities associated with patent prosecution, partnerships, agreements, and licensing. This will increase licensing potential with targeted marketing and CRM tools to drive more revenue. Job Summary: JD Technical Lead and Solutions Architect The Technical Lead and Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and implementing robust integration solutions, data pipelines, and data conversion processes, leveraging state-of-the-art technology and best practices. This role requires deep expertise in SQL, leadership of technical teams, and collaboration with stakeholders to drive the organization's data strategy and integration needs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned) Solution Design and Implementation: 1.Design and implement integration flows using MuleSoft and ETL technologies. 2.Develop data pipelines and perform data cleaning to support application integration and data conversion. 3.Apply deep SQL skills to optimize data handling and transformation processes. 4.Familiar with IAM, SSO technologies and ability to interact with Infrastructure teams to ensure connectivity for integrations. 5.Deep data conversion expertise including data governance, data cleansing and mapping, and automating data validation between source and target. Team Leadership: 1.Lead a technical team focused on data conversion, report development, and integration solutions. 2.Conduct design sessions and review technical design documents to ensure alignment with business objectives. 3.Proactively monitor the performance of integration and data conversion pipelines. 4.Troubleshoot, resolve, and report issues to affected teams and stakeholders promptly. Stakeholder Communication and Strategy Development: Build strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate regularly to enhance application integration and conversion support. Develop and document data conversion strategy and application integrations. Establish a continuous development and continuous delivery framework to ensure responsiveness to change while maintaining the integrity and reliability of solutions. Enterprise-Wide Implementation: 1.Expert experience leading enterprise-wide implementation projects in higher education, the public sector, or the private sector managing all technical aspects of systems implementation. 2.Develop architecture diagrams to guide implementation efforts. 3.Identify skill and resource gaps to support team workflows, including data governance, data conversion, and integration processes. Education and Experience: 1.Educational Background: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent years of experience). Experience & Skills and Abilities: Solutions Design Architecture: 1.At least 5 years of experience as a solutions design architect, leading data conversion and integrations in enterprise-wide implementations. 2.Proven ability to design integration solutions using MuleSoft and ETL technologies. Technical Leadership: 1.Over 5 years of experience delivering full life-cycle integration, data conversion, and reporting implementations as a technical lead. 2.Experience working collaboratively with infrastructure teams to establish connectivity for integrations. Technical Expertise: 1.Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies. 2.Knowledge of integration platforms and tools such as MuleSoft and ETL processes. 3.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to inform decision-making and independently solve software engineering challenges. Communication Skills: 1.Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. 2.Experience in creating clear and concise documentation to support project deliverables. Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills: 1.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors. 2.Capable of working effectively in a team environment, fostering collaboration and innovation.
