Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sybase Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Sybase database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. This role requires a deep understanding of Sybase ASE (Adaptive Server Enterprise) and Replication Server, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Sybase ASE and Replication Server environments. Proficiency in SQL, Azure. Monitor database performance, implement performance tuning measures, and ensure high availability. Manage database security, including user accounts, roles, and permissions. Perform regular database backups and recovery operations. Implement and manage database replication and disaster recovery solutions. Performance Tuning and Optimization: Proven experience as a Sybase Database Administrator, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role. In-depth knowledge of Sybase ASE and Replication Server. Strong understanding of database architecture, indexing, and query optimization. Experience with database backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
