Java Developer with Project Management Experience

Candidate responsibilities:

Team Management

Oversee Productivity: Monitor each engineer's productivity and report or consult with the resource manager for team adjustments.

Review Timesheets: Approve weekly timesheets and ensure accurate tracking of CAPEX vs OPEX tasks.

Onboarding/Offboarding: Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for engineers.

Delivery and Release

Partnership: Collaborate with PDMs and Project Managers to align timelines for POCs, vendor evaluations, and requirements.

Involvement: Actively engage in planning, engineering, and delivery, contributing to development as needed.

Requirement Definition: Participate in defining and documenting project requirements with the Product Manager.

Estimation: Provide high-level work estimates and refine them as requirements evolve.

Technical Design: Ensure adherence to the Technical Design Review Process and guide team members across all areas.

Issue Resolution: Unblock engineers and drive resolutions, especially for cross-functional challenges.

Decision Review: Oversee impactful team decisions, ensuring alignment with end goals and technical design revisions.

Quality Oversight: Monitor and oversee the quality of deliverables, including testing effectiveness.

Communication

Status Updates: Provide bi-weekly written status updates using the PROJECT TEAM STATUS UPDATE template.

Stakeholder Meetings: Participate in weekly/bi-weekly meetings with stakeholders alongside the Product Manager.

Correction Of Error (COE)

Participation: Attend weekly COE discussions or send a proxy if unable to attend.

Documentation: Lead the definition and documentation of errors within two weeks of an incident.

Presentation: Present COE findings for group discussion and follow through on mitigation actions.

Following are the responsibilities and expectations of the individual:

Experience with different Fix integration venues and support for Fix messaging parsing in CRD

Knowledge of electronic trading workflows integrations with venues like Market Axess, Tradeweb and Bloomberg TSOX.

Primary support role for daily trading workflow to ensure swift error resolutions to meet target trading deadlines.

Title: Mainframe Network Engineering

Mainframe Network Engineering will be supporting a firmwide initiative to enable encryption for all data in transit.

Our focus will be on assessing all connections to and from the mainframe, enabling encryption, and supporting application adoption.

Partner with mainframe security team to identify and assist with certificates required for encryption enablement.

Candidate will also be expected to support production responsibilities of the network team, including TCP/IP, VTAM, NDM/Connect: Direct, FTP, TPX and participate in on-call rotation.

Skills Required:

Candidates will need to have experience with reporting and understanding zERT information. Coding and troubleshooting Policy Agent AT-TLS rules with zOSMF.

Strong understanding of data encryption (technology solutions, protocols, best practices, etc.) and security concepts specific to mainframe.

Ability to program in TSO/REXX or SAS for SMF record analysis.

Work experience with;

IBM z/OS TCP/IP configuration and customization.

IBM TSO and basic z/OS utilities.

IBM z/OS platform and software, including operation, customization and problem determination.

Familiarity with CA/NetMaster, NDM/Connect: Direct, TPX and JIRA a plus.

Job Description:

Develop and maintain the automation toolset (Python & legacy tools in Perl) for device asset discovery, data collection, and reporting.

Enhance existing scripts to improving workflows and network change management incorporating new technologies.

Adapt and transform operational and/or functional needs into solutions.

Conduct tooling audits to assess proper operational coverage and build remediation changes as required.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and feedback on network automation solutions.

Conduct regular assessments to identify opportunities for efficiency improvement and optimization.

Required Skills:

Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP) and concepts (i.e., VLAN, ACL).

Familiarity or prior experience with Ansible Tower or Ansible Automation Platform for managing network devices.

Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, for creating new API based services and supporting existing scripts.

Experience of 8-10 years relevant to above skills.

Understanding of RESTful API principles, HTTP methods, requests and authentication handling, and data serialization.

Experience with version control systems like Git (BitBucket/GitHub).

Knowledge of software lifecycle principles and practices, integrating automation into a continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

Job Description:

About the Position

Seeking a Logistics Inventory Manager within the Enterprise Network Services team. This role reports to the Vice President of our project management office and service delivery function for network services. The role will be responsible for the daily inbound operations, inventory control and functional analysis of infrastructure equipment purchased for the network services team. The Logistics Inventory Manager will be responsible for the inventory across multiple warehouse and data center locations (20). Also responsible for 3rd party warehouse and integrations facilities (4). The role will ensure integrity of real time inventory data. Points of contact will be certain vendor portals and various public/private databases.

Specific Role Function:

Responsible for inbound logistics, inventory control and inventory analysis

Proper documentation of inventory, accurate status, identification and research, and correction of errors within systems and reports, as well as identification of discrepancies within vendor hosted systems

Oversee the successful execution and proper system updates of all inventory transactions both internally and traded with 3rd party vendors

Assigns and directs workflow of inventory to ensure excellent client service is delivered to each customer through appropriate planning and scheduling

Develop business insights based on inventory analysis and communicated key findings to member of management

Perform analysis of inventory, including calculations, trends and measurements. Make recommendations for inventory corrections.

Work with senior leadership to develop metrics, reporting output and inventory analysis

Reconcile inventory and stock levels (spares) and identify shortages that accurate stock is adequate (i.e. Optics and power supplies)

Liaise with vendors and MS counterparts on hardware delivery statuses.

Skills:

Strong communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills - able to handle conflict situations, resolve issues and ability to multi-task

Strong analytical, problem solving and business process skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint presentations and updating Word documents)

Advanced experience with Excel (formulas, functions, and pivot tables)

Requirements:

Minimum of 7+ years in an inventory control role within Supply Chain Experience in IT/Technology sector and/or Technology Hardware Manufacturer or reseller
