From: Mohit, Vkore Solutions [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] ROLE : IBM DB2 ADMIN ROLE 2: UNIVERSE DBA ADMIN The Senior DB2 Administrator is responsible for the IBM DB2 database environment which includes designing, implementing, and supporting these core infrastructure services. In addition, this individual will also be responsible for assisting the product teams with new system design, implementation and testing of mission-critical business systems. Skills: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required. 8 - 12 years of corporate IT experience as an IBM DB2 Administrator in a global environment. Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain databases Able to utilize IBM Collection Services to monitor, diagnose and trouble shoot issues Demonstrated ability to utilize Visual Explain to advise and diagnose optimizer recommendations Knowledge of Job Watcher performance tools Detailed knowledge of underlying DB2 database management system products and tools Knowledge of database physical and logical design principals Able to manage and deploy application database modifications Experience writing SQL and programming Database and SQL performance tuning Knowledge of programming languages helpful Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with other groups to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions Proven ability to prioritize workload and meet project deadlines Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions Ability to quickly learn new technologies is required Flexible in terms of working in US Central shift if offshore Location: Preferable Houston, TX if in Onsite Keywords: information technology Texas IBM DB2 ADMIN || ROLE 2: UNIVERSE DBA :: ONSITE :: HOUSTON, TX [email protected] |
