Responsibilities include: Support the Automation, Connectivity, and Displays team with development and testing activities Assist with device driver setup, kernel setup, and file structure setup on Embedded Linux platform Assist with hardware setup and testing, before passing over progress to middleware and applications department for ongoing support As an Embedded Software Engineer you will be: Development and test of high-quality software features in QT/QML for John Deere Core applications within the Command Center Display Collaborate with Systems Engineers, Software Architects, and other teams in the John Deere Tech Stack to design, develop, and test software for a broad spectrum of Deere equipment with a focus on Precision Ag. Operate in a scrum team environment on varying projects with direction from project leads. Provide product support and defect triage of those system(s). Additional Skills & Qualifications 2 or more years of experience in embedded software development using C++, Python, Java, or other Object-Oriented languages. 2 or more years of experience in design, development, and testing software applications using QT/QML. Understand real-time operating system and multi process/thread concepts. Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a distributed team environment. Ability and experience working in a self-directed mode. Ability to troubleshoot embedded software issues with an engineering mindset. The secret of getting ahead is getting started .
