Role: Sr. Business Analyst with COGNOS Location: Rensselaer, New York Duration: 24 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 9720 Client: NY State Respond by Date: 08/09/24 5:00 PM Description The position is for an experienced Business Analyst to assist the program area with documenting business processes and system requests for the adult protective services statewide database ASAP.Net, check current systems reports for accuracy against current scripts and intended outputs and be responsible for tracking work products and enhance requests and assist with testing. Duties ASAP.Net is the statewide system of record for the local social services agency outside of NYC to track referrals, eligibility decisions and ongoing casework for adult protective services. ASAP.Net has pre-determined reports generated within the system and reports run through COGNOS that live in the OCFS Data Wharehouse. The pre-determined reports must be re-evaluated due to coding issues. The Business Analyst would: 1-Meet with program staff to learn the current system requirements in ASAP.Net, learn the purpose of the existing reports in ASAP.Net and COGNOS, 2-Check each pre-determined report for accuracy against the current scripts, 3-Meet with a report developer under another PERF to review reports against current scripts and develop new scripts as required, 4- Facilitate business process information meetings with program staff, document processes, provide updates and meeting notes and product for program review, 5-Document new/enhanced report requirements requested by program, facilitate requirements to report developer, 6-Assist with testing newly developed reports, and 7-Assist with tacking work products and report requests, document business processes and systems. Mandatory Requirements Experience (10+ Years) Analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution.
