Job Title: Kubernetes Container Platform Support Operations Engineer (DevOps) Job Location: Berkeley Heights NJ (Locals only) Hybrid Employment Type: C2C Duration: 6+ months Work Eligibility: GC/USC Key Technology: Container Platforms, IAAS, Networks, Kubernetes, ARO Must not have lived in OH in last 10 years Job Responsibilities: Operate container services platforms, emphasizing integration with CI/CD pipelines. Meticulously assess risks while ensuring task efficiency. Analyze, diagnose, replicate, and resolve technical issues reported by customers using Client PaaS and CaaS platforms. Develop maintainable, reusable software from a consumer-centric perspective. Take ownership of unresolved issues, seeking in-depth knowledge for timely resolution. Handle and maintain support requests from business unit customers. Collaborate with other engineering groups to triage customer and business unit issues. Contribute to building and peer-reviewing knowledge base articles and product documentation. Skills and Experience Required: Required: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining Container Platforms. ARO (Azure Redhat OpenShift) is a must Proficiency in deploying and supporting Kubernetes on at least one public IAAS provider (Azure, Amazon, GCP, Alibaba). AWS implementation experience. Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, subnetting, socket vs. connect timeouts, routing, and DNS. Experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code APIs using tools like Swagger. Solid understanding of virtual computing environments, including Hypervisors and load balancing concepts. Familiarity with Identity Management, Access Management, and Certificate Management. Demonstrated competency in programming/scripting languages (with a preference for Go, Ansible, Terraform, and Python). Hands-on experience with distributed systems (Windows and Linux) and virtualization software (VMware). Understanding of DevOps practices, with hands-on experience in Automation/Continuous Integration using tools like Jenkins, Harness, RunDeck, GitLab, and GitHub. Desired: Experience with and PAS/TAS, PKS/TKGI, GKE, IBM Redhat OpenShift, ROSA Experience with NSX, NSX-T, and Panorama. Familiarity with Vsphere7 and TKG. Background in DevOps methodologies. Excellent communication skills. On-call experience.
