Job Title: DevOps Support Engineer Location: NY/NJ HYBRID Duration: 6 Month Work Authorization: USC or GC MOI: skype This role requires Fix protocol & onboarding experience. Also, Python is required. Job description: Nice to have/Plus skills: Direct client (financial company) is looking for the hands-on DevOps Engineer(s)/Consultant who will lead the way for the DevOps environment. The ideal engineer will bring their experiences, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help drive DevOps initiatives. To be successful, one must effectively communicate with our trade support and operations team to orchestrate the creation of solutions that can scale. The responsibilities include building a process for automation as well as contributing to the development of internal tools to achieve operational efficiency. From creating and implementing systems software to analyzing data to improve existing ones, a DevOps Engineer increases productivity in the workplace. Trade Support Duties: Provide technical and development support to internal and external clients and software vendors utilizing FIX (4.2/4.4) fore-trading, prices and STP in various financial products Build solutions to existing platforms based on client and business feedback Work with external software vendors that have integrated with our systems, or vice versa Co-ordinate the release of new applications and FIX configurations and enhancements with external clients Identify and manage any integration issues Provide 3rd level of support to production issues relating to FIX and Application Support Documenting procedures and training internal support teams Technical Scripting Duties: Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments Designing procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance Investigating and resolving technical issues by deploying updates / fixes. Build and test code continuously with scripting and programming languages Increase the sophistication of our alerting and escalation mechanisms Project Management Duties: Work collaboratively with multiple agile teams to help deliver end-to-end products and features, seeing them through from conception to delivery Develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring Continuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards, and make recommendations for improvement Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the trade support team 3 years of professional experience as a DevOps / System Engineer Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash, Perl, Python, and JavaScript Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills Strong understanding of DNS, TCPDUMP, CDNS,SSL, Git, Firewalls and networking concepts Understanding of system administration in Linux environments Strong knowledge of configuration management tools Strong communication and documentation skills Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills Strong experience working with automation tools and a drive towards automating repetitive tasks Familiar with software security best practices Understanding of monitoring tools Best Regards, Prajojita Biswal Technical Recruiter, Vyze Inc.
