Role: Software Technical Lead Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid) Duration: Contract To Hire Primary skill: Nodejs, AWS Job Description: The role involves designing building and maintaining server side applications and services using the Nodejs runtime environment This role requires a deep understanding of JavaScript asynchronous programming and server side development along with understanding of AWS EKS OCF KAFKA MONGO Technical Skills Primary Technologies Node JS TypeScript JavaScript Adherence to Testing Best Practices Methodologies Unit test End To End test Etc Basic understanding of Pub Sub concept eg RabbitMQ or Kafka Basic SQL skills Must have experience in Mongo DB Must have Containerization AWS Basics knowledge Familiarity with data modeling and database design Develop high performance and scalable APIs microservices and backend systems Key Responsibilities Design and implement serverside applications using Nodejs and related frameworks Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather and understand project requirements Develop highperformance and scalable APIs microservices and backend systems Write clean maintainable and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and best practices Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability Debug and resolve complex technical issues and bugs Stay uptodate with the latest trends and best practices in Nodejs development Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards Collaborate with production support teams to deploy monitor and maintain production environments Perform thorough testing including unit testing integration testing and endtoend testing Continuously improve development processes and tools to enhance team productivity Migrate existing onpremises applications to the AWS cloud Demonstrate a good understanding of Kafka and Kafka topics Have a full understanding of TDD TestDriven Development Have a comprehensive understanding of MongoDB Experience with tools like Kubernetes Dashboard Graylog Dynatrace OCF Argo CICD and GitHub Actions Qualifications Experience Basic understanding of PubSub systems such as RabbitMQ or Kafka Strong SQL skills Experience with MongoDB Knowledge of containerization and AWS basics Familiarity with data modelling and database design Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills Strong communication and collaboration skills At least 5-7 years of experience with microservice development 5 years of experience with Nodejs API development.
