Client : Munich Re supporting Hartford Steam Boiler Job Title: Guidewire Business Analyst Consultant (2) Contract length : 12 month contracts. Visa: NO (H1-B, OPT) Location: role being in Hartford, CT ( onsite or hybrid) Preferred Experience: Insurance P&C experience Guidewire experience is required for one of the candidates but preferred for both roles. At minimum, Guidewire would be required for Remote role The other candidate can have diverse backgrounds if they meet the other qualifications. Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders and technology counterparts to deliver maximum value solutions. Utilize various elicitation techniques to understand stakeholders' needs, analyze information and data, and ensure requirements documentation meets enterprise standards. Support multiple project delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile, iterative) with strong written and verbal communication skills. Coordinate with project team members and key partners across the enterprise to deliver high-quality documentation and adhere to business analysis best practices. Deliver project documentation that may include current state/as-is and future state/to-be analyses, requirements to support multiple stakeholders, and diverse types of diagrams to support architectural and data-related requirements. Perform gap analysis and serve as a liaison between business and technology partners to drive solution delivery. Support the development of less experienced business analysts and team members. Communicate delivery status, estimate effort associated with project deliverables, and be accountable for meeting target delivery dates. May be assigned to multiple, medium to large, semi-complex and concurrent projects. Make established decisions and escalate to manager level associates when necessary. Position Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality project deliverables and meet target delivery dates. Utilize a variety of elicitation techniques to support project delivery. Plan and monitor business analysis activities, perform stakeholder analysis, select appropriate project approaches, and estimate business analysis effort. Build and maintain strong working relationships with program and project managers. Elicit and document requirements for multiple delivery methodologies. Confirm and communicate stakeholder needs, collaborate with technology partners to identify solution options, and ensure solutions are well documented. Ensure traceability of requirements to business objectives, test cases, and solutions. Communicate and document project needs through deliverables such as RAP documents, user stories, diagrams, process flows, and data mapping documents. Ensure clear, concise, and consumable deliverables are documented and approved by all project stakeholders. Convey an appropriate sense of urgency when risks and issues arise. Coordinate and facilitate meetings with representatives from all levels of the organization, vendors, and regulatory agencies as required. Assist with interpreting requirements into feasible options and communicate these options to stakeholders. Demonstrate experience in creating and working in a team culture that is committed to collaborative cross-functional relationships and service excellence. Mentor and coach others in business analysis documentation techniques, standards, and best practices. Proactively pursue self-development and improvement in delivery assurance skills. Work with moderate supervision and escalate to management when necessary. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with associates and vendors at all levels. Act as a change agent across the enterprise in support of best practices and advocate PMO services. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Selection Criteria: Minimum of 7+ years of business analysis experience in support of project delivery in IT or a business environment. Demonstrated experience in eliciting and documenting requirements package deliverables. Experience in leading identification of business analysis project-specific deliverables that support project goals and objectives. Strong listening, communication, and presentation techniques. Ability to process information from various sources for detailed analysis, recommendations, and decision-making. Proven analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Adaptability to multiple demands/deadlines, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change. Ability to assist in conducting research on software and hardware products. Successful experience in identifying and solving basic to moderately complex problems. Ability to maintain and reconcile traceability of requirements. Experience participating in peer reviews of requirements documentation. Initiative to learn new skills and improve professional expertise. Attention to detail, strong organization skills, time management, and the ability to prioritize workload demands. Emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and enterprise and team thinking. Knowledge and experience with insurance industry systems, insurance and annuity products, and/or the product development process (helpful, but not required). Ability to mentor and coach less experienced business analysts.
