This solution will move us from manual processes to automated workflows. It will support vendor registration, provide an electronic bidding platform, allow for evaluation and negotiation functionality, and provide contract management capabilities. Additionally, our goal is to engage a solution that will offer robust data analytics and reporting to inform strategic planning and develop operational efficiencies. We are looking for an experienced individual to manage this critical project to completion. The basic duties and responsibilities include: This will be a 14-month contract with the possibility of extension. The contractor must live in Ohio and can travel to the office at least three days per week. The office is in downtown Columbus, Ohio, and parking is not provided. Provides day-to-day operational management for the project team within the scope of assigned projects. Plans, organizes and coordinates all aspects of this highly complex technology procurement and implementation project. Ensures that the goals and objectives of the project are accomplished on time and within budget. Manages the project planning process, including identifying needed resources, developing a project plan, coordinating with stakeholders to reach agreement on requirements and task assignments, managing and coordinating team activities, and executing the project plan. Develops and manages all appropriate project management documents, including the project plan, resource estimates, project budget, project schedule, team roster and assignments, issue management, risk management, change control, and periodic status reports. As necessary, may provide support in developing the project budget and its presentation. Server as a critical liaison between the project team and the vendor to provide updates and obtain feedback, ensuring proper and timely communication. Uses leadership and communication skills to help communicate management goals and interact with project stakeholders to develop automated business processes and implement new solutions. Provide regular communication to the organization regarding the progress and status of the project. Works closely with the users to ensure that the design and development of the new solution adequately meets the business requirements. Coordinates project team activities across functional areas and disciplines to accomplish project goals. Coordinates with customers to develop new systems and to ensure existing systems meet their needs. Provides leadership and coaching to assigned team members. Works closely with business, administrative, and technical staff members to meet customer needs. Performs other duties as assigned.
