Experience with any insurance modernization project testing experience or commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) project testing experience is a plus. Life and health insurance domain knowledge is desirable. Responsibilities Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports on multiple projects. Defining strategy for integration, system and regression testing. Perform testing on various software, mobile applications and other environments. Diagnose defects and track them from discovery to resolution. Work with test automation and performance test engineers to develop test scripts. Decompose complex requirements, analyze and replicate production issues in QA environment. Work with developers to perform root-cause analysis and preliminary problem diagnosis. Develop test data for manual and automate scripts. Analyze 'hard to test or replicate' scenarios and come up with strategies on how to overcome these challenges. Technical Skills 5+ years experience as a QA Analyst, knowledge of a broad range of software applications and of hardware and networks. Proven application testing experience that includes testing of large, complex, enterprise-wide applications on a variety of platforms such as Mainframe/DB2, UNIX, Client Server, and Web. Heavy experience on integration projects, particularly via web services. Experience with test automation concepts and tools, including automation scripting languages/tools and keyword driven automation a plus. Knowledge of industry best practices in software testing to validate the quality of the products. Experience with issue/defect tracking and change management tools, such as JIRA. Extensive knowledge in testing of API / Web services based infrastructure. Knowledge and experience with SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and XML. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products. EXCEL, WORD, VISIO. Experience with Data Design best practices and experience testing and validating ETL processes involving large volumes of data. Experience with change management, release packaging and deployment concepts. Non-Technical Skills Ability to think in the abstract and see how small details fit into the bigger picture. A creative mindset and ability to approach a problem creatively. Independent thinker with tenacity to maintain focus on issues until satisfied they are adequately resolved. Evaluate information to make recommendations and decisions to management. Must demonstrate a flexibility to multi task and able to handle multiple priorities at the same time not compromising on Quality levels - Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
