The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing cloud best practices and automation tooling for application/data base deployment between non-prod and prod environments; monitoring/logging, incident management, configuration management, reliability, performance management, and BC/DR for assigned workloads; and for automation of compliance requirements and reporting for assigned workloads Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned. Configure and manage CI/CD tool set for COTs solution deployment in AWS. Develop and drive real time observability solutions that provide visibility into system health. Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improvement software/data delivery. Support deployment and monitoring of intrusion detection and vulnerability scanning system. Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management. Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning and operations Diagnose and develop fixes to implement quickly and efficiently for production incidents. Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on cloud operations best practices. Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for Service Incidents Set up intelligent application performance alerts (AIOps) Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance in close cooperation with the Security Operations and Compliance teams Automate back-up and restore capabilities Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Required (Minimum) Qualifications 3+ years overall experience covering application development, architecture, quality assurance and production support 3+ years industry experience in DevOps architecture related to Continuous Integration/Delivery solutions and platform automation 3+ years of experience in software delivery leadership in an Agile & DevOps practice, with roles of increasing responsibility, and shown experience developing and leading enterprise initiatives. 3+ years of technology experience, leading DevOps architectural designs. 3+ years of experience handling application build, configuration management, deployment & release engineering 2+ years experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available environment for a SaaS vendor or other cloud service provider. Must be a U.S. citizen. Hold or have the ability to acquire a government security clearance. Must have a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Experience with On-Prem and/or cloud infrastructure provisioning, automation, and support Experience working with open source software and tooling Containerization experience (Docker, etc.). Container orchestration systems management (Kubernetes, etc.). Release automation, (e.g., Jenkins), system administration, system configuration, and system debugging experience. Experience with Logging and Monitoring tools for such as ELK, Sumo, Datadog etc. Experience with scripting in Python, Ruby, JSON, Go or Bash. Experience with large-scale, distributed COTS solutions deployed on AWS. Preferred System level architecture experience is a plus, preferably in cloud and distributed environment platform. Certified Information Systems Security Professional or Similar (DoD-8570 IAT Level III certification). Hold a Federal government SECRET clearance Experience with going through a cloud regulatory certification. ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base.
