The ideal candidate will be instrumental in transforming complex financial data into actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Requirements Analysis: Collaborate closely with finance stakeholders to identify reporting needs and pain points. Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for BI development. Data Modeling: Design and optimize data models (conceptual, logical, physical) using ERDs to effectively support complex financial reporting requirements. Analyze database structures and relationships to ensure optimal data linkage. ETL Collaboration: Partner with ETL developers and software engineers to ensure accurate and efficient data loading into BI platforms. Provide expert guidance on data transformation requirements for reporting purposes. Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize advanced SQL skills to query, manipulate, and prepare complex financial datasets. Conduct rigorous data quality checks, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy. Financial Process Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial accounting processes, including balance sheet, P&L, revenue booking, invoicing, collections, payments, open AR, and compliance reporting. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within financial data. Provide actionable insights to inform business decisions and drive process improvements. Essential Skills: Quote to Cash & Finance Process Knowledge: Proven expertise in end-to-end quote-to-cash processes and in-depth understanding of financial accounting principles. SQL Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills to effectively query, manipulate, and analyze large datasets. Data Modeling: Strong ability to design and optimize data models using ERDs. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex data challenges. Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Desirable Skills: Experience in deep data analysis on large datasets. Techno-functional background with a strong understanding of business processes and the ability to run/modify SQL scripts. Experience with BI tools and reporting platforms. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 6-8 years of experience in financial accounting processes. Proven track record of data analysis and reporting.
