The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Teradata migration to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions on GCP, ensuring seamless data migration. Key Responsibilities: Data Migration: o Lead the migration of Teradata Datawarehouse to GCP, ensuring data integrity, security, and minimal downtime. o Develop and implement data migration strategies, including ETL processes, data validation, and performance tuning. o Need to be very strong in SQL o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure successful data migration. Data Engineering: o Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using GCP services such as Airflow, Dataflow, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub. o Need to be very strong in SQL o Should be able to design cost effective solutions in GCP o Optimize and automate data workflows to ensure high performance and scalability. o Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability of data. o Should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in Python or any scripting language and SQL o Should have good experience in data warehouse and experience in Teradata would be nice to have Collaboration and Communication: o Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver high-quality solutions. o Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers and team members. o Document data engineering processes, best practices, and technical specifications Preferred - Past experience in Teradata or in other Data warehouse Keywords: green card Texas GCP Data Engineer [email protected] |
