Position: IT auditor with any Certification in (CPA, CISA, CIA) Location: Dallas, TX Duration: Long term project Job Description- Key Responsibilities: 1. Audit Planning and Execution: o Develop and execute IT audit plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements. o Assess and test IT controls, processes, and systems to evaluate their effectiveness and compliance. o Identify IT risks and vulnerabilities and recommend solutions to enhance control environments. 2. Documentation and Reporting: o Create detailed audit reports documenting findings, risks, and recommended improvements. o Present audit results and recommendations to management, including corrective action plans. o Maintain thorough documentation of audit procedures and evidence collected. 3. Compliance and Standards: o Ensure IT processes and systems comply with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies (e.g., SOX, GAAP). o Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards affecting IT and financial reporting. 4. Collaboration and Advisory: o Collaborate with IT and finance teams to understand systems and processes and provide advice on improving controls. o Participate in the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and internal controls. o Educate staff on best practices related to IT controls and compliance. 5. Continuous Improvement: o Identify opportunities for enhancing audit processes and methodologies. o Contribute to the annual risk assessment and audit planning process. o Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies that could impact IT controls and audit practices. Qualifications: Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) required. Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT auditing, internal auditing, or a related field. Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field. Skills: o Strong understanding of IT governance, risk management, and control frameworks. o Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. o Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. o Proficiency in audit tools and technologies. Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) are a plus. Experience with ERP systems and financial software. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
