From: Dev Soni, Tek Inspirations LLC [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Title: Enterprise Network Systems Administrator Location:Downey, CA Duration:12+ months MOI:Skype NOTE: LOCAL ONLY / 9+CANDIDATES Position Description: The Enterprise Network Systems Administrator (or Network Administrator) (ENSA) works under the direction of a Principal Network Systems Administrator (PNSA) Supervisor who manages and oversees all aspects of work for the Enterprise Network. The ENSA job is to make sure that company networks align with business goals and objectives as well as the ability to problem solve and think critically. The ENSA is responsible for overseeing an organizations computer systems or database networks to ensure proper maintenance and security. The ENSA applies their information technology expertise to their employers computer systems. The ENSA duties include working with other network professionals and IT staff to update cyber security measures, install hardware or software devices and troubleshoot problems. The ENSA also works with company employees to identify network or computer system needs, overseeing the installation of new hardware or software and using employee feedback to isolate issues. The ENSA is responsible for maintaining computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware; installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues; updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected; monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks; communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users; and fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems. The ENSA may also be responsible for creating instruction manuals for employees to navigate company networks. Skills Required: The ENSA will possess knowledge and experience in customer service; decision making; flexibility; interpersonal skills; leadership; organizational awareness; problem solving, reasoning; team building; oral communication, speaking and writing; business process, project management; quality assurance; requirements analysis and risk management; configuration, data, and information management; information resources strategy and planning; information technology architecture; information technology performance assessment; and technology awareness. The following technology skill sets are required to perform in this classification: Cisco ATA, Cisco ACI, Cisco APIC, Cisco Prime, Cisco VoIP Call Manager, CACTI, eCloud, Elastic Search, ITM, Open NMS, nGenius, McAfee; MVISION, NetScout, SCOM; UTR; StruxureWare, SecureWorks WAF (WAN App FW) toolset, Wireshark, & Web CTRL. Skills Preferred: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with logical thinking. Strong customer service, interpersonal, and detail-oriented skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook. Ability to use and create topology diagrams using Microsoft Visio. Effective reading, written and oral communication fluency in English. Experience Required: This classification must have a minimum of five (5) years of broad knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols, have computer proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware, and increasingly responsible Information Technology skills to include Cisco competencies; must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the last four (4) in the capacity of a Network Systems Administrator or similar role; must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience within the last four (4) years in a security monitoring role. Experience Preferred: Demonstrated experience utilizing complex large-scale network infrastructure devices which include Cisco enterprise or carrier-class routers, switches, ASA firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, wireless controllers/access points, and Cisco Nexus switches. Demonstrated experience utilizing enterprise-level monitoring tools which include OpenNMS, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco Prime Collaboration, NetScout nGenius, Route Explorer, Elastic Search, SCOM, vROPS, Secure Works, Dynatrace, Uptime Robot, IBM Tivoli, WebCTRL, CACTI, StruxureWare, and Cherwell system. Demonstrated experience utilizing Windows servers, Linux servers, and IBM Mainframe z/OS operating systems. Education Required: This classification requires the possession of a bachelors degree in an IT-related or Computer Science field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Education Preferred: Bachelor degree and above major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology related Certification of CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA), and/or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Additional Information: Work on different shifts (morning shift, swing shift, and graveyard shift) in 24/7 enterprise IT environment. Maintain detailed journal in ticketing system. Candidates must reside in the Southern California (inclusive of but not limited to Los Angeles County and/or Orange County) area due to hybrid schedule (onsite and telework weekly) which is a requirement.
