As a Grafana Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Grafana dashboards to monitor various systems and applications. You will work closely with the DevOps, IT, and software development teams to ensure the reliability and performance of our infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Dashboard Development: Design and develop Grafana dashboards to visualize key metrics, logs, and events. Data Source Integration: Integrate Grafana with various data sources like Prometheus, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, MySQL, and others. Alerting: Configure and manage alerts within Grafana to notify teams of critical issues. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize the performance of Grafana dashboards to ensure they are responsive and informative. Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, IT, and development teams to gather requirements and ensure dashboards meet business needs. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to Grafana dashboards and data sources. Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for Grafana configurations, dashboards, and best practices. Security: Ensure that Grafana is securely configured, and access is appropriately controlled. Requirements: Experience: 7 or 8 + years of experience with Grafana, including dashboard creation, data source integration, and alerting. Technical Skills: Proficiency in working with Prometheus, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, MySQL, or other data sources commonly used with Grafana. Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Monitoring Tools: Experience with other monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Loki, Kibana, etc. Linux: Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting. Cloud: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud platforms, or monitoring tools. Experience: Prior experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role. Automation: Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
