You will be part of a cross functional development team and willbe responsible for embedded firmware design and implementation. You will also participate in promoting best practices in allaspects of firmware development including firmware quality, agile processes, requirementsmanagement etc. Responsibilities: As an Embedded Software / firmware developer, youwill be part of a development team as an individual contributor. Collaborate with hardware engineers, systemarchitects, and project managers. Design firmware for embedded systems using a varietyof processors. Develop a firmware architecture that focuses ontestability, scalability, readability, and maintainability. Debug and improve existing product firmware. Participate in code reviews and design reviews. Expand our test coverage with unit tests andautomation test cases Work in an agile development environment with a CICDmethodology for regular product releases and test cycles. Create documentation for end users for internal andexternal customers. Qualifications and Experience MustMeet Minimum bachelors degree in electrical engineering,computer science or comparable. 5 years experience developing embedded systemsacross multiple processor families. Experience with developing in Embedded LinuxDevelopment, Device Trees, and Linux Build systems (e.g. build root) Good working knowledge of device driver development Experience with Elixir Software Language and NervesIoT Embedded Framework Development Proficiency in C/C programming Proficiency in Scripting with Python (or otherscripting languages) Experience working on IoT platforms with Cloudconnectivity (e.g. AWS Core IoT) Knowledge of Messaging Protocols and APIs to cloudbased serves (MQTT, RESTfull APIs) Experience writing firmware for communicationinterfaces - RS232, I2C, SPI, USB, CAN Ability to debug on-target using a JTAG/SWDinterface and Debugger Debug software/firmware using emulators, analyzers,simulators, and similar tools. Understanding of RTOSes and expertise in designingevent driven real-time system firmware. Capable of using development tools in Windows andLinux operating systems. Knowledge of software configuration, revisioncontrol, and release management. Niceto have Working knowledge of MODBUS and CAN protocols (e.g.,CAN Open, SAEJ1939). Developing in applications for real-timeapplications across multiple platforms, experience with bare metal, BSP andRTOS WiFi, GSM, LTE, 4G/5G and BLE stack developmentexperience Experience with Firmware Update Concepts andbootloader development Familiarity with board bring up and verification. Experience developing firmware for digital controlpower conversion technology such as UPS, Solar inverters, motor controllers,AC/DC converters offers a strong advantage. Familiarity with TI DSP and real time digitalcontrol Experience with Model based design in embeddedsystems. Experience with various wireless & IOTcommunications protocols including mesh protocols is a strong advantage.
