This role involves translating business requirements into scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures. The AWS Architect works closely with development teams, IT operations, and business stakeholders to ensure that the cloud environment meets the organizations needs. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions on AWS. Develop cloud architecture blueprints and detailed documentation. Select appropriate AWS services to design and deploy an application based on given requirements (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS). Migration Planning: Plan and execute the migration of existing on-premise applications to AWS. Assess and improve current cloud infrastructure for scalability, security, and efficiency. Develop and implement cloud migration strategies, including workload assessment and migration sequencing. Security and Compliance: Implement best practices for cloud security, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Set up and manage AWS security tools, including IAM (Identity and Access Management), Security Groups, and VPCs (Virtual Private Clouds). Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure data protection and compliance. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and efficiency. Implement automated scaling, performance tuning, and monitoring using AWS tools. Provide recommendations for cost optimization by selecting appropriate instances, storage, and services. Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with development, operations, and product teams to design cloud architectures that meet business requirements. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and development teams. Collaborate with stakeholders to define cloud strategy, governance, and best practices. DevOps and Automation: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using AWS services such as CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy. Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform. Integrate and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems such as CloudWatch, SNS, and CloudTrail. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest AWS services and features, integrating them into existing infrastructure where beneficial. Participate in technical discussions and forums to share knowledge and learn new best practices. Conduct training sessions and workshops to upskill internal teams on AWS technologies. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 12-15 years of proven experience as a Cloud Architect or AWS Solutions Architect. In-depth knowledge of AWS services, architecture patterns, and best practices. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or Associate certification. Strong understanding of network infrastructure, security, and cloud computing principles. Desired Skills: Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell. Familiarity with database management (e.g., RDS, DynamoDB) and data warehousing solutions on AWS. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on cloud architecture optimization and automation.
