HMC is the lifeline used to manage Enterprise systems. Typical activities include regression testing, test plan creation from hardware specification, MCL & Fix verifications, automation of specific regression items, hardware verification (HMC/SE/TKE/Trenton/Networks/Monitors/HDD), software verification (new HMC/SE/TKE/SBC/BMC/BIOS/MCP), Customer Mode Configuration, IPv6 Interface path verification, and planning for HMC/SE/TKE devices. Responsibilities also include test floor support for: Code loads, HMC/SE Installs, SE/HMC Booting, Hangs, and Trenton hardware.The ideal candidate will have a strong software development background combined with an interest in hardware and a curiosity to learn the deep technical details of how we test our machines. In addition to the HMC verification responsibilities, they will work closely with their HMC peers, the Automation squad, and others to find ways to enhance testing and verification through automation. They will champion the development and adaption of automation that improves quality, timeliness, efficiency, and testing coverage. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
