Role: Sr. Business Analyst Location: Albany, New York Duration: 24 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 9718 Client: NY State Description This Expert Business Analyst will assist ITS Grants Management with a new project to transition the Grants Gateway into New Yorks Statewide Financial System. As part of the effort, the BA will help to troubleshoot and resolve any Grants Gateway and SFS Production issues. The BA will assist in the work needed to retire the Grants Gateway, including identifying and assisting with State Agency data retention needs. The Business Analyst will help move existing grants business from the Grants Gateway into the SFS while ensuring that the SFS grants configuration is adequate for NYS Grant Making business. Duties Engage in requirements gathering and fit/gap analysis, support conceptual and detailed design efforts, participate in drafting and validation of test plans, and facilitate data and business process conversion in support of transitioning the Grants Gateway into SFS Engage in data retention identification and access for Grants Gateway historical data. Determine root cause of Grants Gateway and or SFS issues, document the cause, work with development team to determine solution, and manage resolution accordingly. Test builds of the SFS Grants Management Functionality Mandatory Requirements Experience (10+ Years) Analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution. Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 84 months experience in performing requirements gathering and business analysis, producing written documentation of requirements; system design and implementation. 36 months experience performing requirements gathering, business analysis and cutover planning, with a focus on data conversion, specific to a configuration of the Agate Intelligrants core. 36 months experience of business analysis, regression testing and support services of a statewide enterprise IT project, including defect reporting. 36 months experience as a government employee or public/private consultant with detailed involvement in the area of government grant contracts and payment processing.
