SSIS, database modeling, T-SQL,BIA Sr Database Developer Analyst Job Summary The Business Information & Analysis (BIA) Sr Database Developer Analyst interacts with functional representatives, business analysts, database analysts and Application Development project teams to apply data operations requirements to support the effective storage and retrieval of data. This position utilizes the agile-waterfall methodology development process. He/She functionally leads other database analysts. This position provides the definition of logical and physical data elements to promote data sharing, reuse of data objects, and a coherent data source strategy. He/She demonstrates a significant understanding and analysis of applications transformation of data into business information and the manner that information supports and enables key business processes. He/She drives consistency and maintains departmental standards and procedures for database environments. He/She implements and maintains the departments production and development databases. This position monitors and analyzes performance metrics, back-up, and recovery procedures and allocates database resources to achieve optimum database performance. Leads development in highly complex queries, stored procedures and views using SQL as well as ETL processes to support the development process. Applies best practices for performance tuning, query optimization and modular coding techniques to improve efficiencies in production and user experience. Provides solutions using I.S. standards for data analysis tools and techniques to support the development process. Coordinates application of data analysis and data modeling techniques to establish, modify, and maintain data structures and their associated components. Maintains data concepts subject-matter expertise (e.g., object and data modeling techniques, design principles, database architectures, software, etc.) to evaluate potential solutions and demonstrate, install, and commission selected products. Maintains and improves proficiency in database technologies to remain current with industry standards and to review and analyze features in new technology releases. Analyzes data requirements to establish, modify, and maintain objects and data models. Performs data analyses to identify data anomalies and to recommend and implement potential fixes.
