The Scrum Master will play a crucial role in guiding the team, removing impediments, and ensuring adherence to Agile principles. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Key Responsibilities: Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with product owners and teams to understand and translate their needs into actionable requirements. Foster strong relationships between the team, product owner, and other stakeholders. Agile Facilitation: Coordinate and lead Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Retrospectives, Sprint Demos, Story Refinement, and Release Planning. Vision & Roadmap Development: Collaborate with the team to define the vision and create a product roadmap aligned with this vision. Backlog Management: Assist the product owner in managing and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring alignment with project timelines and evolving requirements. Impediment Removal: Establish an environment conducive to team effectiveness by identifying and removing obstacles that hinder progress. Team Protection: Shield the team from external interruptions and distractions, allowing them to maintain focus on sprint goals. Servant Leadership: Exemplify a Lean-Agile mindset through servant leadership, promoting continuous improvement and team empowerment. Risk Management: Anticipate challenges, identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies. Performance Tracking: Track and report on team velocity and other project metrics, using these insights to drive continuous improvement. Conflict Resolution: Proactively manage conflicts within the team, guiding them towards positive resolutions. Required Knowledge and Skills: In-depth understanding of Agile software development life cycle and practical experience working with development teams. 5-10 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master with a solid comprehension of Agile values, principles, and methodologies. Strong ability to identify cross-team dependencies and align work for optimal results. Experience in working closely with customers to understand their business practices and manage expectations. Proven ability to set clear performance standards, hold team members accountable, and keep the team engaged and on track. Strong interpersonal, communication, mentoring, and servant leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to remove impediments. Ability to foresee potential conflicts and bring existing conflicts to positive resolution. Strong analytical skills with the ability to document business and system processes. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification is required. The certification must be uploaded under the Reference tab in Vector to be considered. Candidates without the certification will be bypassed. Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is desired but not required.
