| Role: Java Developer with Liferay developing Experience required Deadline for Resume Submission : 3pm Thurs Aug 15th, 2024 (please submit resumes collectively) Term : 6 months initial contract with possibility of extension for up to additional 12 months Location : Atlanta GA Onsite M Th; Remote Fri Role Details: BASIC PURPOSE Independently performs software design, development, test, and integration for Bank applications and provides support of those applications, with a focus on Java and Liferay DXP portal application development. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs all functions of software engineers, with a focus on Java and Liferay Portal application development. Under limited supervision, develops innovative approaches to address business needs. Creates detailed design specifications for subsequent programming and implementation. Participates in application design sessions proposing and documenting technical alternatives required to achieve business objectives, suggesting improvements to reduce technical debt. Implements new system software or modifications to existing software that are high-quality. Writes and executes unit tests necessary to ensure the bank applications developed in Liferay DXP to meet the requirements. Maintains application builds and deployments. Assists in application configuration. Performs peer reviews to ensure adherence to standards and accuracy of the implementation of requirements. Interacts with project management, other project teams, and peers in a team environment for purposes of application integration and project coordination. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of systems software and future trends and directions in the software industry. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Communicates status and reports time against projects daily. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Excellent oral and written communication skills required for interacting with project stakeholders and team members.
