Direct client position Position: Sr. SharePoint Cloud Architect Duration: 1.5 Year Location: Minnesota (Remote) Description of Project: The Minnesota Department of Information Technology Services (MNIT) in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) seeks a vendor to coordinate and move the current on-prem SharePoint platform to the Government Community Cloud utilizing the Microsoft Modern Experience. There are two workstreams, which are expected to be done in parallel: Workstream 1: Move DOC Business Sites to the Government Community Cloud via migration, remediation, or rewrite. Discovery Validation of provided scope, categorization of sites into migrate, remediate or rewrite, one time contractual adjustment of inventory and scope. SharePoint move to the Government Community Cloud: within the guardrails of an organized, logical, clear and user-friendly SharePoint structure. All sites should be consistent in layout, design and experience with no tenant level customizations. The remediation of all functionalities that are not Cloud compatible or do not meet industry best practice, including rewrites in power platform capabilities as needed. The remediation of current DOC site/content access/authentication management deficiencies so as to achieve SharePoint industry standard, including any existing sites that are in the cloud already. This includes that all sites have site owners to manage content, site owners are on each of the SharePoint site pages and notifications go directly to the site owners for fulfillment. Connectors/integrations still function are reconnected or remediated/rewritten to utilize best practices. Post migration warranty Transition/knowledge transfer of changes made to MNIT SharePoint platform administrators. Provide training materials and lunch and learn training sessions for DOC end users and site owners This workstream will progress with speed, accuracy and without business disruption. Workstream 2: Move MNIT DOC content to the Government Community Cloud by designing and building a modern and collaborative, organized MNIT_DOC SharePoint solution, mapping content from the old to new site and migrating said content to the new SharePoint Cloud framework. Discovery Validation and one-time adjustment of inventory scope Coordinate requirements with MNIT_DOC leadership Understand MNIT and DOC SharePoint look and feel standards, guardrails and technical specs Evaluate and guide on MNIT_DOC SharePoint Cloud readiness Understand current MNIT_DOC SharePoint site inventory of sites and content. Provide and present MNIT_DOC leadership with mockups of recommended design options based on industry experience and requirements Map content from old architecture to new Migrate content based on mapping Connectors/integrations still function and are reconnected or remediated/rewritten to utilize best practices. Incorporate existing MNIT_DOC sites into the new design Build a site owner certification process to be used across MNIT_DOC and DOC SharePoint sites Post migration warranty Documentation and knowledge transfer to MNIT SharePoint platform administrators Provide training materials and lunch and learn training sessions for MNIT_DOC end users and site owners This workstream will progress with speed, accuracy and without business disruption.
