Job Description - Role Oracle Database Administrator - Senior Technical Lead Job ID RFO 3985 Client Name FiSCal Location Remote Duration 2 years Degree Copy Yes References Yes 3 Notes: Experience with Government agencies are must These are different roles for the same client and all are remote Oracle Database Administrator - Senior Technical Lead Mandatory Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a lead capacity with Oracle Database administration and Real Application Clusters (RAC) in Unix/Linux environments in the following areas: Design Installation Optimization Configuration Security Ongoing operations and maintenance (e.g., backup and recovery, reorganization, patches and upgrades, performance tuning, troubleshooting) Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Oracle Exadata system operation and maintenance. Design, maintenance, and operation: Responsible for the design, setup, installation, configuration, security, and maintenance of Oracle databases. Patching and upgrades: Manage patching activities and upgrades for the Oracle databases. Monitoring and optimization: Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning and optimization strategies. Backup and recovery: Ensure proper backup and disaster recovery support is in place for the databases. Security: Perform security governance, data masking, and hardening activities for the Oracle databases. Incident support: Provide troubleshooting and support for database-related incidents and outages. Knowledge transfer: Provide training and knowledge transfer to FI$Cal staff through shadowing sessions and process reviews. Project Summary The project involves providing advanced system administration consulting services to support the FI$Cal system, Californias centralized IT solution for financial management. The services include design, maintenance, optimization, and security of Oracle databases, PeopleSoft Financial Supply Chain Management, Oracle Hyperion/Essbase, Middleware/Oracle WebLogic, and Linux systems.
