Job Description : Role : Senior Power BI Admin Location : (Titusville, NJ - On-Site) (Only Locals) Duration : Contract Technical/Functional Skills Power BI Administration, Performance tuning, AWS cloud administration, Redshift Experience Required:- Power BI Administration: o Implement and maintain a secure Power BI environment within Azure or another cloud platform. o Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within Power BI Service. o Configure and monitor workspace settings for optimal performance and security. o Monitor resource utilization and capacity planning for Power BI workloads. o Implement data governance policies and procedures for Power BI datasets and reports. o Perform backups and disaster recovery for Power BI environments. Performance Tuning: o Analyze and troubleshoot performance issues related to Power BI datasets and reports. o Optimize semantic models and queries for improved data retrieval speed. o Implement best practices for report design and development to ensure efficient data visualization. o Monitor and optimize gateway performance for secure data access. Cloud Administration (AWS): o Manage and monitor AWS resources used for Power BI infrastructure (e.g., gateways, storage). o Configure and maintain network security within the AWS environment. o Understand AWS security best practices and implement them within the Power BI environment. Redshift Experience: o Partner with data engineers to ensure optimal data integration between Redshift and Power BI. o Understand Redshift data models and query performance optimization techniques. o Troubleshoot data access and refresh issues related to Redshift integration. Additional responsibilities: o Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features and functionalities. o Provide technical support and guidance to Power BI users within the organization. o Document processes and procedures related to Power BI administration. o Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of Power BI with existing systems. Roles & Responsibilities :- Highly motivated and experienced Power BI Admin who will play a critical role in managing, securing, and optimizing our Power BI environment, ensuring high performance and scalability for the data analysts and business users. Must have deep understanding of Power BI administration, implement the industry best practices, and performance tuning techniques. Administration of AWS cloud and Redshift data warehousing.
