| Job Title: Sr. Data Engineer Location: Virginia (Hybrid) Only USC GC GCEAD H4EAD Local to VA only with DL (if not having local DL than at least have local project) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join our team in Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, Spark, AWS, Snowflake, and SQL, with a nice-to-have experience in the marketing domain. The role requires working in a hybrid environment, and local candidates are preferred. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures using Python, Spark, and AWS technologies. Implement ETL processes to collect, clean, and transform large datasets from various sources into Snowflake and other data warehouses. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and marketers, to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions. Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness on AWS. Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts to support data analysis and reporting needs. Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing best practices in data governance and data management. Utilize Snowflake for data warehousing solutions, ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable data storage and retrieval. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring timely delivery of data products. Contribute to the design and architecture of data systems that support marketing analytics and reporting. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering, cloud computing, and the marketing domain. Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in data engineering with strong expertise in Python, Spark, AWS, Snowflake, and SQL. Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale data pipelines and ETL processes. Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, particularly AWS and Snowflake. Strong SQL skills, with experience in writing complex queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data security best practices. Nice to have: Experience in the marketing domain, with a focus on marketing analytics and data-driven decision-making. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Local to Virginia is preferred. Candidates with a local project or local drivers license are highly desirable.
