The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on the IBM Z platform, with an emphasis on automating processes, optimizing workflows, and ensuring continuous integration and delivery. Key Responsibilities: DevOps Implementation: Develop and implement DevOps practices to streamline the development, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure on the IBM Z platform. Automation: Design and maintain automated workflows for continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and others. Infrastructure Management: Build and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on IBM Z, ensuring high availability and performance. Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track the performance of cloud infrastructure. Optimize resources to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices across all stages of the infrastructure lifecycle. Scripting and Configuration Management: Develop scripts and configuration management solutions to automate routine tasks, deployments, and system configurations. Security and Compliance: Ensure that all infrastructure components comply with security best practices and regulatory requirements. Implement security measures to protect cloud infrastructure. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and DevOps workflows. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure development, and IBM Z systems. Strong understanding of DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, automation, and configuration management. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Groovy. Experience with IBM Cloud Z tools and technologies. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud security practices and compliance. Knowledge of IBM Z mainframe technologies. Certification in DevOps or cloud infrastructure.
