This team plays a critical role in protecting our customers and ensuring the security of our card transactions. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and enhance APIs and microservices to support fraud detection and authorization systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and improvements. Utilize AWS technologies, including Lambdas, S3, and other cloud services, to build scalable and efficient solutions. Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality software delivery. Work in a hybrid environment, with a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration at our McLean, VA location. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Java development, with a strong focus on building APIs and microservices. Proven expertise in AWS technologies, particularly with Lambda functions and S3. Experience in a collaborative, agile development environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in fraud detection or similar domains. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Knowledge of security best practices in software development.
