Capable of working independently without close supervision. Formulates client requirements into written form and transforms them into specifications and development tasks. Performs data analysis and modifies or recommends changes in the database to facilitate reporting applications. Extensive experience with WebFocus, including: Advanced report/dashboard creation using AppStudio/InfoAssist. Data modeling for report optimization. Develops successful Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions in data warehousing, analytics, reporting, portal, and dashboard development. Skills Required: Experience with business intelligence tools such as Information Builders WebFOCUS, SAS, and Tableau. Experience using SQL/Relational databases like DB2, SQL, Netezza, HTML 5, and JavaScript. Ability to combine business needs and requirements into technical architecture for a data-driven solution. Define and oversee the full development lifecycle for external/internal facing BI solutions. High-level design, development, documentation, and testing of solutions. Documenting source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and underlying data models. Knowledge of external facing UI development using Portal development and BI technologies, including WebFOCUS. Works on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Display a working knowledge of Database Management Systems (DBMS), including both legacy DBMSs and relational/SQL DBMSs. Acquire a working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheets for creating and interfacing WebFOCUS reports in a self-service environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Background in medical and financial data analysis in health insurance industry preferred.
