FYI Below is the requirement: Role: Sr. IT Project Manager Location: Houston, TX 77002 (Hybrid 3x/week onsite) Experience: 12+ Years No OPT/CPT | LinkedIn** Communication & experience working with executive leadership (this person needs to be able to communicate to leadership in a non-technical way *waterfall* and be able to work in agile with Development team. Project/Day to Day: Will be stepping into SAP (operations, ECC, Work orders, changing fields in work order screen and creating notifications), Manage reports on development team daily work outputs with projects (discovery, gathering requirements have been done and this person will be mainly facilitating meetings through business lines to communicate reports) lots of change management is key, establishing relationships is a must. Working with project sponsors located in: (ID & TX). electric side facilitating meetings at this point Top Skill: Strong communication between technical and non-technical teams DevOps Experience/ understanding knowledge Jira will be accepted comparable experience Agile- project manager experience (dev team operates in agile) - **leadership still in waterfall and just needs roadmap when asking for updates** (not too detailed presentations- they are in waterfall) needs business acumen to translate to leadership SAP project experience Notes from manager conversation: I need someone that is a critical thinker and someone that is adaptable and able to work with other PMs. Its the model we are moving towards to be able to take on more complex projects that we typically outsource to consulting firms. The job description is broad because PMs on our team can be placed on engineering type, to IT, or just process changes across the organization. The PM that I am needing to replace was a more IT role specifically working on SAP enhancements in work orders as well as with field personnel. Experience with ESRI GIS interface would be fantastic. Strong requirements gathering and process flow experience would do well. HR JOB SUMMARY: As the Sr Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional and departmental strategic initiatives through the project lifecycle including gathering requirements, planning, scheduling, monitoring, and overseeing execution of business projects through completion, value delivery, benefit realization and long-term sustainability review. The project manager will work with key stakeholders across the business to develop charters that address proposed business requirements with varying budgets, timelines, and dependencies. They will manage multiple projects and optimize bandwidth to maximize value to the business. This will include innovation and continuous improvement efforts, including launching new products and services, application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process improvements and infrastructure upgrades and deployments. This individual may also provide guidance and coaching to other project managers within the organization and assist with overall department portfolio management. Specifically, youll have the opportunity to: Lead the work of a team to achieve specific project goals and criteria within project constraints, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing high visibility projects. Assist the business with development of project charter including scope, budget, deliverables and milestones, roles and responsibilities and value proposition. Assist the business with development of integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts. Work collaboratively at an advanced level with business partners, business sponsors, project leads and matrixed IT partners to manage and oversee all phases throughout the project lifecycle. Rigorously manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters. Propose recommendations and adjustments when required. Where needed, proactively manage changes in scope. Identify potential risks with corresponding contingencies and mitigations. May facilitate the development and management of project budget, projected benefit, and financial impact forecasts, and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and other project expenditures to projections. Develop communication plan to meet project objectives and ensure stakeholder awareness at all appropriate gates and critical decision points, in addition to regular updates. Publish periodic project status and progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations. Leverage cross-functional relationships with the business and strategic partners for successful completion of project objectives. Manage large-scale projects spanning multiple years with significant O&M and Capital Budgets with complex dependencies and competing objectives. Leverage best practices and innovative skills and techniques in the field of project management for advanced-level project management and execution. Work collaboratively with PMO team to improve current project management methodology, techniques and tools and help train other project managers and business partners. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree 3-5 years of project management experience with cross functional team projects PMP certification and agile experience.
