The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco ASR 1001 routers and Cisco Catalyst 9500 series switches. Layer 1-3 configuration experience, patching IOS, and implementing and documenting daily and weekly configuration changes. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS is a bonus. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco ASR 1001 routers and Cisco Catalyst 9500 series switches. Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement network solutions. Perform routine network audits and security assessments. Manage and optimize network performance using monitoring tools. Assist with cloud networking tasks in Azure and AWS environments. Job requirements Desired Skill Sets Cisco: ASR 1001 routers, 9500 switches, Wireless controllers, Firewalls Automation: IOS Scripting with Tcl and Python (would like to see some examples during interview) Infoblox for DNS management F5 load balancers Management of NTP ServiceNow ticketing New network device builds, troubleshooting, upgrades, patching Quick response to tech bridge incidents Vendor management and communications Circuit orders and troubleshooting Asset inventory maintenance and handling Cloud networking experience Documentation experience reviewing and writing clear and comprehensive documentation Qualifications: Certification: CCNA required, CCDA, or CCIE a plus. Experience: Proven 5+ years experience with Cisco ASR 1001 routers, Cisco Catalyst 9500 switches and other technologies mentioned above Skills: Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching. Bonus: Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms. Attributes: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven documentation, technical writing, and communications skills.
