Kindly let me know if you are interested in this opportunity JD for Data Engineer, Remote "GENERAL SUMMARY: Data Engineer with strong software engineering backgrounds, a platform engineering mindset and deep passion for data. This Engineer will help to shape the technical direction of the data domain within the organization. The Engineer will also partner closely with internal business units and external vendors to develop a high performance, reliable and scalable data environment for the bank. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: # Develop a nd automate high-performance data processing systems and visualization to ensure reliability and meet critical business requirements. # Design, develop, implement, document and support Data & Analytics systems which adhere to the industry best practi ces. # Lead data engineering projects, and overall strategy for data governance, security, privacy, quality, and retention. # Triage and resolve issues reported by Risk, Operations, and other business stakeholders. # Mentor junior engineers and conti nue promoting data engineering and analytics tooling & standards. Education: # Master Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field # Industry certification is a plus Skills Qualifications: # 5 years of experience in data modeling, data architecture, and other areas directly relevant to data engineering. # Advanced SQL, ETL pipelines, Data modeling & design, SQL performance tuning in OLAP and Data Warehouse Data Lake environments # Ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues # Strong SQL skills, and experience with NoSQL databases # Experience with Software engineering best-practices, including but not limited to version control (Git, TFS, etc.), CI CD, automated unit testing, Dev Ops # Experience in cloud infrastructure using AWS Azure GCP # Power BI, Tableau or similar analytical tool experience # Quick learner.
