About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team for an exciting opportunity at a cutting-edge Battery Manufacturing Plant in Liberty, North Carolina. This is a critical role focused on ensuring the seamless operation of electrical systems within a high-volume production environment. If you have a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, hands-on experience with PLCs, and thrive in fast-paced industrial settings, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities: PLC Programming: Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and repair programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, cameras, and other electronic systems. Electrical Systems Maintenance: Test, diagnose, and repair electrical equipment and systems, including circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, and servo drives. Safety Systems: Troubleshoot and repair safety systems, as well as machine components such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Machine Integration: Plan and execute the integration of machinery into mass production environments, ensuring smooth operation and optimal performance. Documentation & Scheduling: Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed, including detailed schedules for assigned projects. Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams and other stakeholders to continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity. Must-Have Qualifications: Experience: 5+ years of experience in reading, writing, and modifying PLCs. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment. Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed by the project. Preferred Qualifications: Education: Associate degree or higher in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Start-Up Experience: Experience in new plant or facility start-ups.
